your First Visit

Hello! After you have booked your appointment, you’ll receive text and email notifications about your appointment. 3 days before your appointment a text and email confirmation will go out. Please confirm your appointment so I know you’ll make it. If any changes need to be made, please do so at that point or 48 hours before.

During your first appointment, we get additional time together to really delve into your goals, what your love about your hair, and your struggles so we can work through it together.

Using a combination of precise dry curl cutting techniques, I will meticulously create a custom haircut tailored to your unique preferences. I will thoroughly work through each section, and then carefully curl by curl to ensure that the final result aligns perfectly with your goals, lifestyle, and desired look.

My ultimate goal is to guide you through your natural texture journey so you can really love your curls. It truly is a journey, as we are constantly changing and evolving, so do the needs of our hair.

I cannot wait to meet you!

How to prepare for your first appointment

  • The consultation is the most important part. We will have plenty of time to discuss your goals, routine, products and challenges during your appointment but to help me better prepare, please fill out the pre-visit Consultation linked in your welcome email at least 24 hours before your appointment.

  • The most important thing is that your hair is fully dry. This is a dry cut after all and there isn't built in time to dry it before we get started. It’s also important the hair didn’t dry with any clips or hair ties.

Use any products that you usually use. This will give me a good reference point for how your curls normally fall when you style it. It doesn't have to be wash day fresh, but not more than 3 days post wash day or your curl pattern won’t be accurately represented.

  • It’s totally ok to come in with it a little tangled, or with a bad hair day. That’s why you’re coming to see me! Just please be aware of any matting or extreme tangling. There is no shame but would increase our needed time.

  • Take photos of whatever products you’ve been using, even if you don’t like them. This will give me a good reference point of what is and isn’t working for you.

  • If you have any inspiration photos, have them ready. This is always helpful. If you don’t have any, Pinterest and Instagram are my favorite places to look.

  • I accept all forms of Credit Cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. I also accept cash but typically don’t have change.
